There is a tremendous explosion at Fort York as three hundred barrels of gun powder explode. A red, black, and yellow fireball throws timber, rocks, and debris some five hundred yards. The American commander General Zebulon Montgomery Pike is killed as rocks fall from the sky on the shores of Lake Ontario on April 27 1813.
