On March 15 1813, the Philharmonic Society of London holds its second concert. The program begins with Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte or The Magical Flute. The audience is delighted.Mozart’s sestetto. The society also performs “Sola, sola” from Don Giovanni which preceded the production of that Opera in Britain by four years. The rest of the program also includes music by Salieri, Beethoven, Haydn and Bach. The concert concludes with Zaira composed by Peter von Winter.
